"Object ProvideX.Script is invalid" then "Setup was unable to create the PVX object needed to install the Service Pack. Please contact customer support" or "The PVX Object Init Failed" when installing a service pack.
Occurs in MAS 90 and MAS 200 Library Master, ver 4.10.
Is usually presented when multiple MAS 90 or 200 installations are on the server and one of the ...\MAS90 directories was deleted instead of being uninstalled.
Resolution
To repair in Version 4.2 or later: 1. Clock 'OK' button at the message
2. End the task on the failed installation.
3. In Windows Explorer, go to ..\Program Files\Common Files\Common Components.
4. Double click 'Pvxcom.exe'. Nothing should appear to happen.
5. Proceed with the remainder of your installation.
For Version 4.10 and earlier: 1. Click 'OK' button at the message
2. End the task on the failed installation.
3. In Windows Explorer, go to ..\MAS90\Home.
4. Double click 'Pvxcom.exe'. Nothing should appear to happen.
5. Install the service pack from the computer where the MAS 90 or 200 was originally installed.
